Poetry of the Soul

Poetry is thoughts that breathe, and words that burn. ~Thomas Gray

The best way

to move on with your life

is to pick up the puzzle pieces

and try to place all the edges first.

From there you push together

each different colored middle

cardboard scrap until they

jumble in your arms.

Don’t be surprised if you

accidentally drop a piece

or two into someone else’s

puzzle, that just means

the new hole in your’s will

be filled by a fresh color when

they drop one of their’s.

smiles. this gave me a smile thinking of all the colorful collages that no longer look anything like they origina intended but more beautiful in some ways…

I am terrible at puzzles. but it is true that life is a bit of give and take and sometimes the puzzle pieces dont fit perfectly but the new color added makes life beautiful. -joe

    • Haha, I am terrible at puzzles too! But my cousins love them so I still attempt to make one every 2 years at family reunions… I do love collages though, and puzzles made a much better metaphor 🙂
