Poetry of the Soul

Poetry is thoughts that breathe, and words that burn. ~Thomas Gray

Never Looking Back December 22, 2009

I don’t really know how far I’m going

I just know I’m never looking back.

All I really know is that I’m going

And I’m so tired of trying to keep track.

I’m tired of being rationally responsible.

I’m tired of living up and planned out answers.

I’m gonna go a little wild, a little crazy.

Let my hair blow backwards in the wind.

I don’t really want to know where my life’s gonna go

Just that I’ll make it in the end.

I like this a lot, and I think it would be perfect set to music. It has lyrical qualities.

Thank you so much! And I wish I was good at writing music, unfortunately a year of ear training and theory didn’t help me too much.
